Power purchase is a major expenditure reflected on our cost sheet and needs effective monitoring and control to keep it within or below the estimated level. This requires monitoring of various components associated with power on real time and also on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

The continuous monitoring of the parameters and availability of these parameters on demand will help the engineers make informed decisions towards managing the power consumption effectively and also to have and in-built system to trip the equipment that is drawing power more than the pre set value.

The system should be equipped to send SMS alerts to registered mobile numbers (Maximum 5 numbers) in case the power drawn exceeds the pre-determined level/set value, and at the same time activate the hooter to be provided near the substation attendant and ultimately trip the circuit drawing excess power.

Furthermore the system should have inbuilt facility to interface with a PC/ Laptop for easy downloading of data from the system to generate a report on monthly and yearly basis.

The system is designed to be a universal solution that can be connected to 3.3KV, 6.6KV, 11KV, 33KV and 132KV transformers. The current trip setting can be configured from 0 Amps to 255 Amps. In case the current setting of more than 255 Amps is required it can be done easily with minor changes in the existing hardware at a minor additional cost.
